Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are leading the race to sign RB Leipzig teenage sensation Yan Diomande, according to Sky Sports Switzerland journalist Sacha Tavolieri.
The report claims both Premier League clubs have made ‘very advanced contacts’ with the 19-year-old’s representatives.

Liverpool, meanwhile, consider him the perfect player to bring more dynamism and flair to their team.
Barcelona have also expressed interest in him, but have yet to open negotiations with his representatives, putting Liverpool and Tottenham in the driving seat for his signature.
Diomande made his senior debut in March, 2025 for Spanish side CD Leganes and has enjoyed a meteoric rise since then.
The promising left-winger joined Leipzig in a €20 million transfer last summer and has established himself as a regular for the Bundesliga outfit.

Diomande has taken the Bundesliga by storm with his trickery, averaging 2.8 successful dribbles per game, the highest in the division.
He also thrives in ball progression, ranking in the 99th percentile for progressive carries, and links play well, sitting in the 81st percentile for key passes.
However, Diomande needs to improve his crosses, as he is placed in the 26th percentile for crosses completed.
Leipzig have placed a €100m valuation on Diomande, potentially making him the club’s highest-ever sale, eclipsing the €90m Manchester City paid for Josko Gvardiol.
