French luxury group LVMH has appointed Pietro Beccari, currently chairman and CEO of Louis Vuitton, as CEO of LVMH Fashion Group.

The division brings together several of the French conglomerate’s key fashion houses including Louis Vuitton, Dior, Celine and Loewe.

Beccari will take over from Sidney Toledano, who has led the group’s fashion activities for more than three decades.

Beccari will assume the new role while remaining chairman and CEO of Louis Vuitton.

The handover is scheduled to take effect on 1 January 2026, with a transition period planned between Toledano and Beccari.

As part of the reorganisation, Damien Bertrand, currently deputy CEO of Louis Vuitton, will become a member of the LVMH executive committee.

Beccari’s association with LVMH began in 2006, when he joined Louis Vuitton as executive vice-president for marketing and communications.

In 2012, he was appointed chairman and CEO of Fendi. He later took the helm of Christian Dior Couture as chairman and CEO in 2018.

Since February 2023, Beccari has been chairman and CEO of Louis Vuitton. He is already a member of the LVMH executive committee.

Beccari began his career in marketing roles at Benckiser in Italy and Parmalat in the US, before moving into general management at Henkel in Germany, where he served as corporate vice-president for haircare.

Toledano exits his day-to-day role after more than three decades working alongside Bernard Arnault, chairman and CEO of LVMH.

Arnault said: “I would like to warmly thank Sidney Toledano, who has been by my side for over 30 years and has always been present, in all circumstances, with determination, talent and loyalty. He will remain my special advisor.

“After a rich decade of leading Dior and Louis Vuitton, I am delighted that Pietro Beccari has also agreed to bring his expertise to the LVMH Fashion Group Maisons.

“At the head of Louis Vuitton, he will be able to rely even more on Damien Bertrand, whose contribution has been significant in recent months and who now joins the Group’s executive committee.”

LVMH reported revenue of €18.28bn ($21.15bn) for the third quarter of 2025 – a 1% organic increase from the same period in 2024.

The result marked the French luxury group’s first quarterly growth in 2025, following a 4% decline in the previous quarter.

For the first nine months of the year, LVMH generated €58.1bn in revenue, compared with €60.75bn in the corresponding period of 2024.
