Roll Tide Wire staff predictions for SEC games in Week 13

The SEC's Week 13 slate features four conference matchups, as well as some of the top teams facing a FCS opponent.

Compared to week's past, the Week 13 SEC slate certainly looks significantly different than previous.

This upcoming Saturday, the SEC will see only four games played between conference opponents, with the others all in nonconference action. Some of those games are not against FBS opponents as well, as almost all of the other teams in action will be playing FCS foes.

So, when taking a look at this week's SEC slate overall, yes it is a bit of a down one in terms of high-profile games, but could it still be a week that produces noteworthy results?

Following are Roll Tide Wire's predictions for every SEC game in Week 13.

Samford Bulldogs at Texas A&M Aggies

  • When: Saturday, Nov. 22 at noon ET on SEC Network+

  • Predictions:

    • Matt Melton: Samford 6, Texas A&M 58

    • Steve Holley: Samford 0, Texas A&M 66

    • Rob King: Samford 7, Texas A&M 52

    • Jake Boico: Samford 3, Texas A&M 42

Texas A&M puts their undefeated record on the line Saturday at home against the Samford Bulldogs from the FCS. Roll Tide Wire expects a sizable win for the Aggies to remain undefeated.

Missouri Tigers at Oklahoma Sooners

  • Predictions:

    • Matt Melton: Missouri 16, Oklahoma 27

    • Steve Holley: Missouri 10, Oklahoma 28

    • Rob King: Missouri 18, Oklahoma 38

    • Jake Boico: Missouri 14, Oklahoma 24

The first SEC conference matchup of Week 13 is a big one in Norman that pits Oklahoma against Missouri in a battle of ranked teams. A team which defeated Alabama a week ago in Tuscaloosa, Roll Tide Wire projects another Top 25 win for the Sooners in Week 13, but this is certainly a game where Missouri could also pull the upset.

Charlotte 49ers at Georgia Bulldogs

  • When: Saturday, Nov. 22 at 12:45 p.m. ET on SEC Network

  • Predictions:

    • Matt Melton: Charlotte 3, Georgia 63

    • Steve Holley: Charlotte 3, Georgia 45

    • Rob King: Charlotte 7, Georgia 38

    • Jake Boico: Charlotte 3, Georgia 49

Georgia hosts a struggling Charlotte team this Saturday where the Bulldogs will be favored heavily to win. Roll Tide Wire predicts a sizable Georgia win.

Eastern Illinois Panthers at Alabama Crimson Tide

  • When: Saturday, Nov. 22 at 2 p.m. ET on SEC Network+

  • Predictions:

    • Matt Melton: Eastern Illinois 3, Alabama 65

    • Steve Holley: Eastern Illinois 0, Alabama 63

    • Rob King: Eastern Illinois 18, Alabama 55

    • Jake Boico: Eastern Illinois 3, Alabama 52

Alabama's Week 13 game comes in Tuscaloosa against the Eastern Illinois Panthers of the FCS. Roll Tide Wire sees Alabama bouncing back in a big way here.

Mercer Bears at Auburn Tigers

  • When: Saturday, Nov. 22 at 2 p.m. ET on SEC Network+

  • Predictions:

    • Matt Melton: Mercer 16, Auburn 40

    • Steve Holley: Mercer 7, Auburn 38

    • Rob King: Mercer 7, Auburn 31

    • Jake Boico: Mercer 7, Auburn 34

Auburn will host one of the FCS' top teams Saturday in the Mercer Bears in a game that could be intriguing. Roll Tide Wire does however unanimously predict a win for the Tigers ahead of next week's Iron Bowl.

Kentucky Wildcats at Vanderbilt Commodores

  • Predictions:

    • Matt Melton: Kentucky 20, Vanderbilt 36

    • Steve Holley: Kentucky 16, Vanderbilt 34

    • Rob King: Kentucky 18, Vanderbilt 31

    • Jake Boico: Kentucky 10, Vanderbilt 27

Vanderbilt needs a win Saturday at home against Kentucky in order to keep their CFP hopes alive. While a potential upset is an option, Roll Tide Wire goes with the Commodores at home to get a huge win.

Arkansas Razorbacks at Texas Longhorns

  • When: Saturday, Nov. 22 at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC

  • Predictions:

    • Matt Melton: Arkansas 20, Texas 43

    • Steve Holley: Arkansas 24, Texas 38

    • Rob King: Arkansas 28, Texas 34

    • Jake Boico: Arkansas 20, Texas 30

Texas picked up a costly third loss a week ago at Georgia, and now return home for a game against Arkansas. While the unanimous pick by Roll Tide Wire is Texas, this game could be a bit more high-scoring than some might expect.

Coastal Carolina Chanticleers at South Carolina Gamecocks

  • When: Saturday, Nov. 22 at 4:15 p.m. ET on SEC Network

  • Predictions:

    • Matt Melton: Coastal Carolina 17, South Carolina 34

    • Steve Holley: Coastal Carolina 21, South Carolina 28

    • Rob King: Coastal Carolina 7, South Carolina 35

    • Jake Boico: Coastal Carolina 7, South Carolina 42

South Carolina needs a win Saturday against the Chanticleers to bounce back from their second half collapse last week in College Station. Roll Tide Wire expects South Carolina to get that win, but an upset could also be an option here.

Tennessee Volunteers at Florida Gators

  • Predictions:

    • Matt Melton: Tennessee 34, Florida 36

    • Rob King: Tennessee 34, Florida 26

The game this week which Roll Tide Wire differs most on is in Gainesville on Saturday night between Tennessee and Florida. Spilt right down the middle in predictions, Florida could certainly pull the home upset, but Tennessee could also get a big win in Gainesville, a place the Volunteers have not won since 2003.

Western Kentucky Hilltoppers at LSU Tigers

  • When: Saturday, Nov. 22 at 7:45 p.m. ET on SEC Network

  • Predictions:

    • Matt Melton: Western Kentucky 16, LSU 38

    • Steve Holley: Western Kentucky 17, LSU 28

    • Rob King: Western Kentucky 18, LSU 41

    • Jake Boico: Western Kentucky 7, LSU 37

The SEC's final game of Week 13 is LSU hosting Western Kentucky in Baton Rouge. Roll Tide Wire predicts LSU to come away with the victory over the Hilltoppers.
