PISCATAWAY, N.J. — Purdue men's basketball's reserve forwards have traded places on the injury report for Tuesday's Big Ten opener at Rutgers.
Redshirt freshman Jack Benter is listed as questionable on the Big Ten-mandated report. A team spokesperson said the Brownstown Central grad is dealing with an illness.

Benter is typically the first player into the game in place of starting forward Trey Kaufman-Renn. He also started in place of the injured senior in the first two games of the season.

Benter averages 5.3 points and 3.6 rebounds while shooting 44.4% on 18 3-point attempts. Backup minutes at the 4 will go to Murphy.
The biggest issue would be if Kaufman-Renn encountered foul trouble again and Murphy needed to play extended minutes. However, Rutgers' inability to defend the 3-pointer this season would also create a decent matchup for Murphy.
