One of the best players on the Spartans this year is heading to the NFL.
Michigan State star punter Ryan Eckley has announced he will forego his final year of eligibility and enter the NFL Draft. Eckley made the news official on Tuesday by posting to his social media X account - you can see his post below:
Eckley was one of the top punters in the country this year, continuing a good stretch of Michigan State punters over the recent years. He often would pin teams deep on his punts and could also flip the field if the opportunity presented himself.

Michigan State will most likely see a number of players hit the transfer portal after this season, but I don't anticipate too many players entering the NFL Draft early. Eckley may end up being the lone Spartan to forego any eligibility to enter the NFL Draft.
