Tennessee added a commitment to its 2026 football recruiting class.
Three-star defensive lineman Nic'Quayvion Simmons committed to Tennessee over Mississippi State and Middle Tennessee State on Tuesday.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementThe 6-foot-3, 305-pound prospect is from Carver High School in Columbus, Georgia. He is the cousin of former Georgia and NFL linebacker Jarvis Jones, who also played for Carver.
247Sports ranks Simmons as the No. 155 defensive lineman in the class and the No. 149 player in Georgia.
He unofficially visited Tennessee for the Vols' football game versus Oklahoma on Nov. 1 and against Vanderbilt on Nov. 29.
Georgia Southern was the first school to offer Simmons a scholarship on Jan. 29. Other schools to offer him scholarships include Troy, Eastern Kentucky, Colorado, Northern Illinois and Ball State.
Tennessee has 23 other commitments in its 2026 football recruiting class: quarterback Faizon Brandon, wide receiver Tyreek King, offensive tackle Gabriel Osenda, defensive lineman CJ Edwards, defensive lineman Zach Groves, safety KJ McClain, safety Luke Thompson, defensive end Kedric Golston II, offensive lineman Edward Baker, wide receiver Zaydyn Anderson, defensive lineman Dereon Albert, linebacker TJ White, cornerback Jamyan Theodore, defensive lineman Darryl Rivers, wide receiver Javonte Smith, linebacker Brayden Rouse, safety Jowell Combay, athlete Joel Wyatt, athlete Salesi Moa, offensive tackle Kamari Blair, wide receiver Tristen Keys, defensive end Hezekiah Harris and tight end Luca Wolf.
