By Andrew StantonShareNewsweek is a Trust Project memberThe White House defended its immigration policy after Sabrina Carpenter slammed the White House for using her song “Juno” in a video posted to social media on Tuesday.
“Here’s a Short n’ Sweet message for Sabrina Carpenter: we won’t apologize for deporting dangerous criminal illegal murderers, rapists, and pedophiles from our country. Anyone who would defend these sick monsters must be stupid, or is it slow?” White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson told Newsweek.
The video posted by the White House overlayed the song "Juno" to clips of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents making arrests amid President Donald Trump’s heightened immigration enforcement.
“This video is evil and disgusting. Do not ever involve me or my music to benefit your inhumane agenda,” Carpenter wrote in a post to X.
