The panel on BBC Radio 5 Live's Monday Night Club discussed Arne Slot's decision to drop Mohamed Salah to the bench for Liverpool's win at West Ham on Sunday.
"Liverpool have been on such a bad run," said former Premier League striker Chris Sutton. "Salah has been such an incredible player for Liverpool but he is just another player and he should be treated no differently.

Sutton said he did not think Salah would see it as an issue and "would understand it is part of the game", but ex-England winger Andros Townsend disagreed on that particular point, saying: "I think Salah will have taken it personally. The best players in the world want to be playing every minute of every game."
The Observer's Rory Smith added: "He must be aware that he has not been playing well. I take the point about his ego but it is hard for Salah to say to Slot that he doesn't understand where it came from."
