Venezuela's authoritarian President Nicolás Maduro made a public appearance Monday, dancing before supporters as he insisted that the United States would not force him from office amid heightened tensions between Caracas and Washington.

Maduro told the crowd that U.S. actions constitute "psychological terrorism" and said they have not altered his position. "They have not moved us one inch from the correct path we must always follow," he said. He added, "They will never remove us from the path of the revolution, under any circumstance."

The comments come as U.S. military activity in the Caribbean has increased in recent days. U.S. officials have considered potential operational moves near Venezuela, and Washington continues to offer a $50 million reward for information leading to Maduro's arrest. Venezuelan airspace remains restricted to foreign aircraft.

U.S. media outlets have reported that President Donald Trump recently spoke with Maduro by phone. According to the Miami Herald, citing sources familiar with the call, Trump told him, "you must leave the country now," offering safe passage for Maduro and his family in exchange for his resignation. The report said Maduro rejected the idea and requested a "global amnesty" for himself and his allies

Maduro appeared at the swearing-in of newly created "Bolivarian Community Command Units," which the government describes as neighborhood-level security and control structures. He said Venezuela "does not interfere with anyone in this world" and urged foreign governments to "not interfere with Venezuela."

He also reiterated that Venezuela's armed forces are prepared for any response. "The military has shown unity and commitment to defend every inch of Venezuelan territory," he said. He claimed civilian defense capacity has grown as well, stating that "the people" are trained and "ready to continue building the homeland in peace."

Maduro's remarks come one day after he re-emerged publicly at a government event following several days out of view. His absence fueled widespread rumors about his whereabouts, especially after flight-tracking data reviewed by CNN Brasil during the weekend showed a Venezuelan government jet flew to the Brazilian border and back.
