The Denver Broncos improved to 10-2 on Sunday Night Football following a 27-26 overtime win against the Washington Commanders. That marks the team's best record through 12 games since their 2015 season, a campaign that ended with a Super Bowl trophy.
Denver has now won at least 10 games in consecutive years for the first time since that Super Bowl campaign in 2015. The Broncos have started a season 10-2 five times in franchise history (1989, 1997, 2013, 2015, 2025), and they reached the Super Bowl in each of the last four instances.

"We haven't even had time to get there yet, so we’re gonna continue to battle, continue to fight. We have a great mindset in the locker room. Guys are really fighting and battling for each other. We love one another. It’s really an honor to be a part of this team. I’ve played on a lot of close football teams, but this is up there with the best of them. Love our guys, love our coaches, and we’re gonna continue to play as hard as we can."
Denver's just the second team in NFL history to win four consecutive games in the season season by three points or fewer, according to Josh Dubow of the Associated Press. The last team to do so was the New York Giants in 1986, who went on to win the Super Bowl that season.
