After getting out to a 7-0 start to the season and climbing to the No. 22 spot in the latest AP Poll, Indiana men’s basketball has earned the 11 spot in the first NET Rankings of the season.

Indiana has yet to play a Quad 1 game yet this year, but is 1-0 against Quad 2 (Kansas State) and Quad 3 (Marquette), and 5-0 against Quad 4 teams (everyone else). Minnesota, Indiana’s next opponent, is 144, making them a Quad 3 team for now, but a potential to turn into Quad 2 as a road win if the Gophers’ season improves.

There are three Big Ten teams in the initial top ten, with Michigan holding the top spot on the heels of its impressive win over Gonzaga. Purdue sits at three, while Michigan State is in the 10 spot.

Indiana will have a crack at a Quad 1 win this Saturday against Louisville in what’s considered a neutral site game, despite being in Indianapolis. The Cardinals are ninth in the initial NET rankings.
