A 10/10 video game has made its way to the Netflix catalog this Tuesday, as was previously announced, and if you’re a subscriber to the streaming service, you won’t want to miss out on the opportunity of playing it. In addition to TV shows and movies, Netflix’s catalog offers a series of games that users can download and play without any extra costs. You can play GTA and Dead Cells on Netflix, for example.
Compared to traditional gaming services like Xbox Game Pass and PS Plus, Netflix is a lot less popular. Netflix’s gaming section doesn’t get much traction, but there are great IP options in the catalog that are well worth your time. If you haven’t checked out games on Netflix, then a new addition may prompt you to download it and play it for free via the streaming service.

On December 2, Red Dead Redemption joined the Netflix gaming catalog. As was detailed on the official Rockstar website, John Marston’s adventure can be played on iOS and Android devices that are compatible with the service. The game can be downloaded on these devices and played without any extra costs if you’re a Netflix member, as long as your subscription remains active.
The popular Rockstar game that was released in 2010 arrives on Netflix with “mobile-friendly control options,” according to the announcement on the website. This means you are not required to connect a controller to enjoy gameplay. It’s a great moment for the franchise, as Red Dead Redemption also joined PS Plus today.

While this franchise isn’t as popular as the Grand Theft Auto series, Red Dead Redemption is one of Rockstar’s biggest IPs, and a lot of that stems from how great its installments are. The first title was released to critical acclaim, and it’s widely recognized as one of the greatest games of all time. Red Dead Redemption has an impressive 95 Metascore and an 8.9 user score on Metacritic.
Even though the title is now 15 years old, it’s a worthwhile experience, especially if you haven’t tried it out before. If you’re a fan of Red Dead Redemption 2, you should definitely play the original title, as it adds more texture to the story. There’s a new Red Dead Redemption surprise release, bringing Undead Nightmare to mobile devices.
Even though there isn’t a Red Dead Redemption 3 on the horizon just yet, as Rockstar hasn’t made any official announcements or shown any teasers, it’s safe to assume that it’s just a matter of time, as this franchise is a huge one. Red Dead Redemption’s addition to the Netflix catalog is a great way of getting connected with the series, as we all wait for the next big release.
