Iowa (8-0) is still perfect as it gets ready to tipoff Big Ten play on Saturday evening at Rutgers (7-2) from Jersey Mike's Arena.
The Hawkeyes have been operating minus a trio of players recently, though. Sophomore guard Chit-Chat Wright took a hard fall early in the second half against Baylor on Nov. 20 in the WBCA Showcase and hasn't played since. Per Iowa, Wright sustained an upper-body injury.

Per Hawkeye Radio Network's Rob Brooks, Rodriguez is dealing with a back injury. Meanwhile, sophomore guard Teagan Mallegni had her tonsils removed on Monday, Nov. 24.
Both Rodriguez and Mallegni were listed "out" on Iowa's game day availability report against Fairfield on Sunday. Wright was listed as "questionable." None of the three wound up playing against the Stags.
After the Hawkeyes dispatched of Fairfield on Sunday from inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena, 86-72, Iowa head women's basketball coach Jan Jensen commented on the trio's status moving forward.
Jensen previously indicated that Iowa has been monitoring Wright's head, shoulders and back.

"So it feels like forever, and it feels like forever to her. But we just want to be so, so cautious, obviously. So she’s day-to-day. Every day, we kind of test her and try something (new). I don’t have any other news than what they said this morning."
Jensen commented on Rodriguez and Mallegni's injury progression, too.
"We’re waiting on some results for Emely, and then Teagan is looking pretty good," Jensen said. “I think she’s feeling a little more energetic, so we’ll hopefully get a little practice with her tomorrow. Either one, Emely or Teagan, I don’t think they’re ready for full combat yet, but we can work in a little bit with some shooting. At least Teagan, not sure about Emely.”
