Even though the summer transfer window is still months away, FC Barcelona have started their squad-planning for the next season.
As has been widely reported, a new centre-forward is a priority signing, while a new winger and a left-footed centre-back are also on the agenda for Hansi Flick and Deco.

And here are four players who could be on their way out of Barcelona come the summer of 2026.
Robert Lewandowski
At 37, Robert Lewandowski continues to perform strongly for Barcelona in attack, with his form especially improving after his return from injury.
However, his contract stands to expire at the end of the season, and as things stand, everything indicates that the Blaugrana do not plan on offering a renewal to the Poland captain.
In fact, the search for a replacement is already underway, with Atletico Madrid’s Julian Alvarez seen as the dream target, although signing him will be a near-impossible mission.

Another player who finds himself in the same situation as Lewandowski, Andreas Christensen’s contract runs out on 30 June, 2026, and there appear to be no plans for an extension for the Danish centre-back.
The former Chelsea defender has battled injury and fitness problems regularly over the past couple of seasons. Moreover, he is on significant wages – amounts that Barcelona cannot afford for a player who is far from a starter at this point.
Christensen, for his part, has always maintained his desire to stay, but at the moment, that possibility seems difficult.

While there is no decision made, the possibility of Ronald Araujo leaving Barcelona could again become a talking point close to the summer, despite him signing a long-term contract last January.
The Uruguayan international, whose contract runs until 2031, has come under intense criticism after his grave error against Chelsea last week, given that this was not the first instance of him costing the team on big European nights.
Araujo, under immense mental stress, has asked the club for an indefinite leave of absence for now. Come summer, depending on how things go between now and the end of the season, his name could be on the sale list.

Even though reports suggest that Barcelona are working to renew the contract of Marc Casado, the reality is that the La Masia midfielder has experienced a steep decline in his prominence this season compared to the last one.
From starting in big games against the likes of Bayern Munich and Real Madrid last season, he has become almost an afterthought for Flick this time around.
Pedri and Frenkie de Jong are Flick’s preferred choice in midfield, while Eric Garcia has also been preferred ahead of Casado on multiple occasions this term.
