The Chargers took care of business on Sunday, beating and completing the sweep of the Raiders.

En route to victory, there were plenty of good things that happened in the game, but there were also not-so-good things.

Let's examine those.

Good

Defense: Defensive coordinator Jesse Minter's unit held the Raiders to 156 total yards and 14 points, while adding six sacks. Edge rusher Tuli Tuipulotu led the group with a pair of sacks. Safety Tony Jefferson also had an interception.

Kimani Vidal: Vidal had another productive performance as the team's No. 1 back while Omarion Hampton remained sidelined with his injury. He rushed for a career-high 126 yards, including a 59-yard touchdown run early in the third quarter that broke the 7-7 tie and gave the Bolts the lead.

Jamaree Salyer: After experimenting with Trevor Penning and Austin Deculus, the Chargers finally found their answer at left tackle. Salyer tied for first in the NFL among tackles in pass block win rate (100%), according to ESPN's Kris Rhim. He was also a key contributor to Vidal's touchdown run as he got out in space and took out one of the Raiders' cornerbacks out of the play.

Justin Herbert's toughness: Herbert broke a bone in his non-throwing hand during the first series of the game. Despite the injury, he still played through it, wearing a glove and a cast. It should not have come as a surprise, as Herbert has played through numerous injuries in his career.

Bad

Inconsistent first half: The Chargers' offense struggled in the first half. The unit managed only one touchdown, despite two other trips to the red zone. After the touchdown pass to Quentin Johnston, the next two resulted in an interception and a turnover on downs.

Ugly

Justin Herbert's injury: After the injury, Herbert's performance was affected. He had surgery on Monday, and while Herbert has played through injuries in the past, this one could affect his availability for upcoming games, especially next Monday's game against the Eagles.
