Desmond Bane didn't get his Orlando Magic career off to the best start. He struggled to make shots in his initial month or so.

Two games in a row, Bane has scored exactly 37 points.
He's the first Magic player to score 37 in consecutive games since Tracy McGrady did it three games in a row in 2004.

Bane did it with incredible efficiency on Monday night in a win over the Chicago Bulls. He shot 12-for-17 from the floor, including 3-for-7 from 3-point range. He also made all 10 of his free throw attempts and added six rebounds and five assists.
On Nov. 28 when Bane had 37 against the Pistons in a three-point win, it came on 13-for-25 from the floor and 11-for-12 from the line.

Bane cost a ton of draft capital to get in a trade from the Memphis Grizzlies. The plan for Orlando was that he'd form a big three with Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner.
Now that Bane is playing like this, that might come to fruition.
