Lies of P is one of the most popular soulslike games in recent memory, and fans were given a great surprise earlier this year with the release of the Lies of P: Overture DLC. With 2025 wrapping up, Lies of P players weren't expecting any more good news—but it looks like they're getting it anyway.
A new fan-created Lies of P Nexus Mod has officially introduced the game's most-requested feature: seamless online cooperative multiplayer. The new mod from EmberWave released just days ago in its Alpha stage, allowing co-op boss battles, with ongoing updates expected to make a fully integrated co-op mode possible.

Lies of P took the world by storm back when it first launched in 2023, and fans were amazed to find out they'd be getting the massive Lies of P: Overture DLC through a surprise announcement earlier this year. The game is hailed as one of the most original and well-designed soulslike games created by a non-FromSoftware developer.
The new co-op mod from EmberWave comes just in time for the holiday season, giving Lies of P fans one final gift to end the year. Cooperative mode in Lies of P is a literal game-changer, giving players an entirely new way to experience the game. The prospect of taking on the game's most difficult bosses with a friend is extremely compelling, and the new mod is sure to give players a reason to dive back in for a fresh playthrough.
Lies Of P Co-Op Mod Is A Work In Progress
EmberWave's Mod Is Still In Alpha
While the Lies of P co-op mod is still in early development, the current Alpha build allows players to take on a ton of the game's bosses with another person online, similar to a FromSoft title like Demon's Souls or Elden Ring boss fight summons. The current bosses set up for multiplayer co-op on the mod include the following:

At the moment, boss fight co-op is going to be the best multiplayer option for Lies of P, but development on the mod is ongoing, with a seamless full cooperative mode already in the works. This would allow you to play the entire game alongside another player as opposed to just boss fights, and you'll definitely want to keep an eye on the mod's progress for the full co-op mode to release.
