Colorado's men's basketball team maintained its undefeated start to the season over the Thanksgiving weekend with two wins, securing the Acrisure Holiday Classic championship and improving to 7-0. Now the Buffs have some national attention.
In the Week 5 AP Top 25 poll, the Buffaloes received one vote, placing them in the receiving vote section with 18 other programs, effectively ranking them No. 43 in the country.

The recent rankings show just how difficult the landscape is. Arizona sits at No. 2 nationally, while Houston (No. 8), BYU (No. 9), Iowa State (No. 10), Texas Tech (No. 19) and Kansas (No. 21) all are ranked in the top 25.
TCU, Utah, Baylor and Colorado are the three Big 12 teams receiving votes this week.
Colorado will attempt to move to 8-0 Monday night against fellow 7-0 team, Cal Baptist, a record the Buffaloes have not held to start a season since 1949-50.
