The New York Giants have had a bunch of kicker drama this season.

But at least for the last few weeks, they've known that Younghoe Koo will be their guy.

Koo has been pretty solid entering Monday night against the Patriots. He had made all four of his field goal attempts, albeit the longest being just 44 yards. He's also 7-for-8 on extra points.

It's not clear if he'll be with the Giants for the future, but he's who they've got right now.

Why is Younghoe Koo kicking for the Giants, not the Falcons?

An injury to Graham Gano pushed Koo into the spotlight.

Gano has a neck injury, which first took him out of action in Week 10.

Earlier this season, Gano was out for four games with a groin problem, and Jude McAtamney kicked in his place. But when the Northern Ireland native missed two extra points in a one-point loss to the Broncos, that ended his stint.

Koo started the season with the Atlanta Falcons but was benched a week into the season and released after another.

He was Atlanta's kicker since 2019, but he struggled in 2024 and then missed a potential game-tying field goal in Week 1 this season.

The Giants chose to go with McAtamney over Koo when Gano was hurt earlier in the year, but now it's Koo's turn, and he's trying to make the most of it.
