The final NFL game of Week 13 is about to kick off on Monday Night Football. Two teams that are very close to one another — at least in terms of physical proximity — will meet for only the 15th time in history. However, two of the past meetings were in Super Bowls, both of which ended in upset victories for one franchise.
That’s right, tonight it’s the New York Giants facing the New England Patriots. However, these two teams are headed in opposite directions this year and have opposite records. The Patriots are resurgent behind MVP candidate Drake Maye and have a two-game lead atop the AFC East. The Giants, meanwhile, have already fired their head coach and benched their opening-week starting quarterback, Russell Wilson, twice this season.
