According to Calciomercato, intermediaries have recently offered the 38 year old defender to AC Milan opening the door to surprising Serie A move.

Ramos still harbours near impossible ambition:

Representing Spain at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, when he would be almost 40 years old.

The veteran centre back hopes that joining top European club could give him faint chance of convincing national team coach Luis de la Fuente.

The former Real Madrid captain retired from international duty in 2023 after around 180 cap having been part of Spain’s golden generation that won:

  • Euro 2008

  • World Cup 2010

  • Euro 2012

Italian transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano previously highlighted Ramos openness to experiencing Serie A especially the idea of reuniting with Luka Modric whose arrival has already reshaped Milan’s dressing room and on field leadership.

Allegri & Milan management to assess the option

Reports in Italy suggest that Milan’s hierarchy and head coach Massimiliano Allegri will analyse the possibility of signing Ramos in the coming weeks.

The success of Modric’s move has encouraged the club to consider other short term, high impact veterans capable of elevating the squad’s competitive edge.
