Cyber Monday's coming to a close, but it's still an excellent time to get your hands on health and fitness equipment for the new year. If you're a brand new or new-ish runner looking to improve, I couldn't recommend a better smartwatch than the Garmin Forerunner 165.
Right now you can get the Garmin Forerunner 165 for $199 at Walmart (was $249), saving yourself a cool $50. This discount is live at other stores too, but Cyber Monday only lasts until midnight, so almost all stores will be raising their prices again in a few hours.

Garmin Forerunner 165 (Slate Gray/Black): was US$249.99 now US$199.99 at WalmartA more up-to-date option than the Forerunner 55, the 165 is a great deal at this price, featuring lots of advanced running features like race-adaptive training plans. The training plan on your watch will automatically adjust depending on your performance – for example, if you're doing better than expected, it'll recommend longer distances or faster runs. How cool is that?

The Garmin Forerunner 165 comes with a bright AMOLED screen, 11 days of battery life (take that, Apple Watch) and notification functionalities, along with its advanced run- and fitness-tracking features.
I reviewed this watch personally, putting it through its paces like every other Garmin watch I try, and I really liked it. In my official Garmin Forerunner 165 review, I said: "the whole thing is very appealing, especially at a reduced price point, offering genuine value in terms of features." It's also super slim and light, making it comfortable for sleeping in and all-day wear.
You can check out its full specs below. I've also included links to a couple of similar watches in the same price range: the Apple Watch SE 3 and the Garmin Vivoactive 5.

Apple Watch SE 3 (GPS) 40mm: was US$249 now US$199 at WalmartThis $50 price drop takes one of the latest Apple Watch models down to its lowest price ever. This deal is the best around right now, but since it's a new product, we don't know how long this saving will be available for – so it's best to take that into account. You can also save $50 on the 40mm Midnight Aluminum Case with Midnight Sport Band.
