Orlando Magic rookie forward Noah Penda was recalled from the G League after a two-game stint with the Osceola Magic, the team announced on Friday.
Penda was assigned to Osceola on Tuesday after playing sporadically to begin the season with Orlando. He has been out of the rotation for coach Jamahl Mosley, averaging 2.4 points and 1.9 rebounds in 6.7 minutes per game across seven appearances.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementThe Frenchman averaged 12.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.5 blocks on 40.9% shooting from the field. He registered a double-double on Thursday with 11 points, 12 rebounds and five assists in a win over the Austin Spurs.
Penda was selected with the 32nd pick in the 2025 NBA draft, following a productive season with Le Mans Sarthe of the LNB Élite, the top league in France. He was one of 13 European players drafted this year, including a record six from France.
The 20-year-old logged four preseason appearances with the Magic, averaging 5.2 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.5 steals on 36.8% shooting from the field. He turned in his most productive outing on Oct. 10 with seven points, six rebounds and three steals.

The team believes the G League can provide a good opportunity for Penda to log minutes and will look to get him back throughout the season.
