Joshua Karty is back. After waiving the second-year kicker on Friday, the Los Angeles Rams brought him back on the practice squad.

The team announced Monday that Karty has been signed to the practice squad, taking the place of Wyatt Bowles, who was waived to make room. Karty was a sixth-round pick by the Rams in 2024 but lost his job midway through this season after missing eight kicks in the first eight games.

The Rams signed Harrison Mevis to the practice squad last month and he’s been their kicker ever since, taking Karty’s spot on the 53-man roster. Sean McVay said after waiving Karty that the team hoped to bring him back on the practice squad to keep developing him, and that’s exactly what they were able to do after he cleared waivers.

"I'm certainly hopeful that the journey does continue with us in that capacity," McVay said last week, "if that's something that works out for us.”

Mevis has yet to miss a kick thus far, going 17-for-17 on PATs and 2-for-2 on field goals.
