High-end home theater projectors typically don’t get many discounts during sales events like Black Friday and Cyber Monday. That’s why I was surprised to see the Sony Bravia Projector 7 for $7,998 (was $9,999.99) at Amazon.

Save 20%Sony Bravia Projector 7: was US$9,999.99 now US$7,998 at AmazonSony's home theater projector is getting a rare Cyber Monday discount in Amazon's deal. The Bravia Projector 7 is a native 4K SXRD model with a laser light engine and 2,200 lumens of brightness. It features a flexible range of installation controls and supports 4K 120Hz for gaming on two HDMI 2.1 ports. This is a record-low price for the Bravia Projector 7 and a deal that's likely to disappear when the clock strikes midnight.
View DealSony’s projector made a big impression in our Bravia Projector 7 review, where we called the picture “simply stunning” and the blacks “exceptional.” With a laser light engine and native 4K SXRD display chips, the Projector 7 was designed to deliver images with powerful contrast, and that clearly was the case when we evaluated it.
The Projector 7 uses Sony’s XR Processor for Projector, a version of its TV processor optimized for the large images projectors produce. This makes images look crisp and clean, and another feature, XR Dynamic Tone Mapping, enhances the appearance of HDR content with three selectable tone-mapping modes.
Even with a $2,000 discount, the Sony Bravia Projector 7 is a splurge, but if you’re looking for one of the best projectors, it’s actually a great deal at this price. You’ll pay more than twice as much for the Sony Bravia Projector 8, and that’s only the mid-range model in Sony’s home theater projector lineup!
