Arnold suffered a shoulder injury on Thanksgiving against the Green Bay Packers, and it was revealed that he could be heading for some significant time off, according to head coach Dan Campbell. Now, he will reportedly miss the remainder of the season.

Per a report from NFL insider Tom Pelissero, Arnold is set to have surgery that will be season-ending. It is not shocking that this is the route the team is apparently taking, as he suffered a shoulder injury early on in the season.

Initially, Arnold suffered a shoulder injury in Week 5, and Campbell revealed then that the star cornerback would miss a good amount of time. Despite the significant injury, Arnold returned sooner than expected.
It has not been established if Arnold reaggravated that same shoulder injury, or if the one he suffered on Thanksgiving is a new one entirely. Either way, the young corner will reportedly miss the remainder of the regular season.
What will be interesting is whether or not he can return in the playoffs, should Detroit make the postseason. The initial report indicated he would be placed on IR, so maybe the shoulder procedure he will get can bring him back by the time the playoffs roll around.
This is just speculation, and Campbell will likely confirm the surgery and also confirm how much time Arnold is expected to miss.
Either way, the 2024 first-round pick will miss significant time due to his shoulder.
