Kayd Coffman led East Kentwood to the Michigan high school football Division state semifinals.
Now, he's sticking with his college commitment of Michigan State football.
Coffman, a four star quarterback in the 2026 recruiting class, tweeted Monday morning: "Thank you Coach Smith and the staff for believing in me. With that being said I will be signing this Wednesday. Go Green! #SD4L"

Coffman and the Falcons (10-3) lost to eventual state champion Novi Detroit Catholic Central, 46-6, on Nov. 22.
But Coffman had a stellar senior season, helping East Kentwood win its first district title since 2014 by torching Howell in a 49-41 road win Nov. 8. In that game, Coffman went 16-for-22 for 372 yards and five touchdowns, and ran nine times for 96 yards.
