Dan Quinn was back behind the mic answering questions after another loss for “Tell the Truth Monday”. He said he was proud of the team despite the overtime loss to the Broncos. Quinn pointed out the team’s resilience and energy, despite this being a lost season.

Tavita Pritchard is leaving the coaching staff to become Stanford’s new head coach. Assistant QB coach David Blough will be promoted to QB coach for the rest of the season. Assistant Head Coach and Offensive Pass Game Coordinator Brian Johnson will also be helping coach the QBs for the last five games.

Jayden Daniels is still not cleared for contact from his dislocated elbow, but he was “ripping” throws today. The team won’t give a game status for him until Friday. They are working on “functional contact” in practice since it’s not a traditional injury.

Quinn gave some credit to the offensive line, and said the pass protection held up against a very good Broncos defense. He said Sam Cosmi played his best game since returning from ACL surgery. He also finally got a good view of Treylon Burks’ touchdown catch and said it was unbelievable.

Dan Quinn took over defensive playcalling from Joe Whitt and the defense has looked like an improved unit. He was asked if there’s a possibility he could still be calling plays next season, and Quinn said it’s possible, but they “haven’t gone down that road yet”.
