Hopewell (Va.) three-star defensive lineman T-Ron Richardson has decommitted from Oklahoma, according to Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett.
Richardson was pledged to the Sooners since Aug. 26, but is now back on the board with National Signing Day just two days away. He is coming off an official visit to Virginia Tech over the weekend.

Oklahoma has made some major additions to its 2026 class down the stretch, but Richardson is now headed elsewhere amidst a hectic final push to NSD. He was in OU’s class for just over three months.
Richardson’s decision brings Oklahoma back down to 23 total commits, though Brent Venables and the Sooners are expecting more good news on the recruiting trail this week. At the end of November, OU flipped four-star running back Jonathan Hatton Jr. from Texas A&M, four-star wide receiver Jayden Petit from Wisconsin and three-star safety Markel Ford from SMU.
Oklahoma has the No. 15 class in the nation, according to the Rivals Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. Richardson leaves it with two listed defensive line commits via three-stars Brian Harris and James Carrington.
