The Minnesota Vikings do not have the best quarterback situation going on right now. The team may have swung and missed on their franchise quarterback in J.J. McCarthy, and by veteran backup Carson Wentz is done for the year. It also seems the team may not know what is going on at this point with their own quarterbacks.

The Vikings reportedly believed Brosmer to be "more mentally prepared" than J.J. McCarthy was when he was the starter in Week 1. That, though, proved to be the furthest thing from the truth.

As Bleacher Report discussed winners and losers from Sunday, Brosmer was their choice for Minnesota.

They write, "McCarthy has played so poorly in his first season as a starter that some fans may have been eager to see Brosmer get a shot. . .Brosmer took four sacks, threw four interceptions, and failed to lead a single scoring drive in a performance that should have McCarthy right back in the starting lineup as soon as he clears the concussion protocol."

J.J. McCarthy could be on track to play in Week 14 against the Washington Commanders, but even then, it is no easy test. A lot is left on the table for this team right now, especially at the quarterback position.
