Former All-Pro safety Rodney Harrison had viewers concerned on Sunday night when he appeared unwell during the Football Night in America pregame show ahead of NBC's Broncos-Commanders broadcast.

On Monday, Harrison offered his explanation for the odd freeze-up.

While Tony Dungy and Jac Collinsworth were discussing the matchup, Harrison looked visibly checked out of the conversation. When Collinsworth tried to bring Harrison in for his perspective, the former Patriots safety needed the question repeated and still was unable to give much of an answer.

NBC told reporters that Harrison was not experiencing a medical episode and would be fine for the postgame show. So, what happened? Harrison said that he was exhausted after a day of travel and lack of sleep, via masslive.com:

“I was exhausted working on a few hours of sleep watching my son play Saturday night. I had 3 hours of sleep on Sunday and had to work all day,” Harrison said via text, alluding to son Christian’s game against TCU in Fort Worth, Texas. “I was suffering from exhaustion. But I’m good.”

That's encouraging to hear that Harrison is fine.

He was indeed back on the air following the Broncos' overtime win.
