Dec. 1 (UPI) -- Barcelona's Aitana Bonmati will miss at least three months after breaking her leg during training, the Spanish Liga F soccer team announced Monday.
Bonmati fractured the fibula in her left leg during a training session Sunday with Spain. Barcelona said she will undergo surgery Tuesday in Barcelona.

The club also announced Monday that forward/midfielder Kika Nazareth sprained her left ankle Friday while playing for Portugal. She is expected to miss at least three weeks.
Nazareth totaled five goals and six assists through 13 appearances this season.
Barcelona (11-1-0) sits atop Liga F, six points ahead of second-place Sociedad and seven points in front of Real Madrid. Barcelona will host CD Tenerife in another Liga F meeting at 9 a.m. EST Saturday in Barcelona.
Spain will play Germany in a UEFA Women's Nations League final at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday in Madrid. Spain manager Sonia Bermudez called Bonmati's absence "a huge loss" when she met with reporters on Monday.

We want to dedicate the victory to those who are injured. Aitana wanted to be in the final with us, but we have to prioritize the players' health.
"Any of the 24 players are more than ready. The good thing is that the squad is very versatile -- players interpret the game well in different positions, so we have multiple options."
