Painted by famed American artist Norman Saunders, Batman No. 1 is among the most important pop culture trading cards ever created.

According to PSA’s population report, only 13 of the 2,455 graded copies have earned PSA 9 grades. There are no PSA 10 examples.

The current public record for the card is the $45,000 paid for another PSA 9 example at Heritage in June 2024, according to data tool Card Ladder.

The card comes from the top-ranked set on the PSA Registry, per Heritage.

Also from the top-ranked set, one of just three 1966 Topps Robin — Boy Wonder PSA 10 examples is set to sell at Heritage later this month. As of Monday, bidding for the card had reached $21,250, including buyer’s premium, with 10 days remaining.
