Former Indianapolis Colts' wide receiver AD Mitchell had a career day on Sunday with the New York Jets.
In the Jets' victory over Atlanta, Mitchell was a go-to target for quarterback Tyrod Taylor. Mitchell would finish the game catching 8-of-11 passes for 102 yards with a touchdown.

For Mitchell, those eight receptions and 102 receiving yards are new career highs for him. He also hauled in his first NFL touchdown.
Mitchell was a part of the trade that landed the Colts' cornerback Sauce Gardner prior to this year's deadline. Along with Mitchell, the Colts also sent a 2026 and 2027 first-round draft pick to New York.
From Day 1 with the Colts, Mitchell's talent has been evident. He possesses an impressive combination of speed and route-running abilities that allow him to separate and makes him a threat at all levels of the field.

In an offense that doesn't often utilize four or five-wide receiver sets, playing time was hard to come by with Michael Pittman, Alec Pierce, and Josh Downs at the top of the depth chart.
The touchdown-turned-fumble against the Rams further reduced his playing time.
In three games with the Jets, Mitchell has caught 11-of-24 passes for 154 yards with a touchdown.
