According to a report from Sky Germany, FC Augsburg has fired head coach Sandro Wagner, a former striker at Bayern Munich and ex-assistant coach with the German national team:

Augsburg have only managed one win in their last seven competitive matches. Wagner was only hired as head coach of FCA in the summer and has now been dismissed, according to Sky Sport

He was informed of the decision today, Monday. The team has been informed.

From the start of the season, the collaboration was not exactly successful. Wagner tried to implement a new and attacking style of play in Augsburg . This endeavor was repeatedly marred by setbacks and sometimes heavy defeats.

At the time of this post, FC Augsburg has not made the move official on its social media or its club website. The team sits in 14th place of the Bundesliga table through 12 match days with three wins, one draw and eight losses.
