Adnan Beganovic responds to rumors linking his player Qobolwakhe Sibande to an Egyptian club!

A tense standoff appears to be developing between TS Galaxy and one of their players, Qobolwakhe Sibande, following reports of an unauthorized move to Egypt. Despite emerging rumors and even alleged photographic evidence placing the 25-year-old in Egypt to complete a transfer to El Mahalla FC, the Mpumalanga club has firmly rejected the speculation.

Sibande, a versatile defender who joined Galaxy from Stellenbosch FC in July 2024, has a background that includes rising through the Stellies development ranks, making 42 senior appearances, and winning the Carling Knockout Cup. This season, he has featured in 11 games for the Rockets.

However, head coach Adnan Beganovic has publicly challenged the narrative of an imminent transfer, stating the club is both unaware of and opposed to any such deal. His comments paint a picture of a player potentially acting outside the club's authority.

“Well, that player Sibande still has a contract with us. We didn’t allow him to go to any club, and I don’t know what is happening right now with him,” Beganovic stated, directly contradicting the circulating reports.

He emphasized the club's official stance, adding, “The club doesn’t agree with anything regarding that [the rumored move to Egypt]. I think the club needs to decide what to do with him.”

While reiterating Sibande's contractual obligations, the coach conceded the final outcome remains uncertain. “What I know is that he still has a contract with the club. He needs to stay with us and be part of the club. But for the future, I don’t know what will happen with him.”

The situation now rests in the hands of the club's hierarchy, who must navigate a complex scenario involving a contracted player, foreign interest, and conflicting accounts of his current whereabouts and intentions.
