On Saturday, the South Bay Lakers lost to the San Diego Clippers by 11 points. On Sunday, the two teams met again at Frontwave Arena in Oceanside, Calif., and the Lakers hoped to produce a different result.

A 37-point second quarter by San Diego put them down 59-52 at halftime. South Bay fought back in the third quarter, and with just under a minute left in the game, it held a 107-101 lead. But after TyTy Washington Jr. of the Clippers made two free throws, forward Talyor Funk converted a three-point play, and with 1.1 seconds to go, Funk scored the game-winning layup, resulting in a 108-107 loss for South Bay.
