The New England Patriots remain in first place in the AFC East. They play on Monday night and Buffalo can’t pass them.

The big news came in the AFC South where the Jaguars and Texans won and the Colts lost, shuffling the order. The Jaguars move into first place in the division and third place in the AFC. The Colts fall from the top of the division into the wild card where they fell all the way to sixth. The Texans are one game back of a playoff spot.
The Los Angeles Chargers won to move ahead of the Colts for fifth place. Buffalo’s win keeps them in seventh for now, a game ahead of the Texans.
The Steelers and Chiefs sit at 6-6 but the Bills have tiebreakers over both teams.

In the tie between the Broncos and Patriots, Denver is undefeated against the Jets, Raiders, Titans, and Bengals. The Patriots lost to the Raiders in Week 1 and that’s the difference.

The New England Patriots play on Monday night against the lowly New York Giants, but even a loss by New England won’t let the Bills pass them. The Bills won to stick right behind the Patriots. The Miami Dolphins and New York Jets won, too. Everyone’s a winner!
