BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The Buffalo Bills didn’t just bounce back against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday — they also set some records in the process.
The Bills rushed for a total of 249 yards on the ground in the 26-7 win — the highest total ever allowed by the Steelers at Acrisure Stadium (which opened in 2001). It was the second-highest rushing total ever against the Steelers in Pittsburgh during the Super Bowl era; the previous high was 310 rushing yards — also by the Bills – in 1975.
“Guys were running hard, guys were breaking some tackles,” quarterback Josh Allen said. “The holes were there. We were doing our job. … It was awesome to see.”

Allen’s eight-yard touchdown run to open the fourth quarter was Allen’s 76th career rushing touchdown, establishing a new record for all-time rushing touchdowns by a quarterback in the regular season. Allen passed Cam Newton to establish a new record.
With the victory, the Bills improved to 8-4 and bounced back from a difficult loss to the Houston Texans one week earlier. Buffalo returns to the field next week at home against the Cincinnati Bengals.
