It was perhaps the ugliest game of the season for the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 13 against the Chicago Bears, losing 24-15. Even if we take out what the offense did, which was nothing once again, the defense got torn up.

If somebody had told me that the Eagles' defense was going to allow 425 total yards to the Bears, I would have laughed. Instead, the Bears rushed for 281 yards, showing that they have one of the best ground games in football when they’re running as effectively as they can be.

But once again, the defense still only allowed 24 points, despite the Bears running all over them.

When speaking to reporters after the game, the frustration was certainly there for players on the offense, including star Saquon Barkley, who has had the worst year of his career up to this point.

"After two losses in a row you've got to realize everything we want is still in front of us," Barkley said, per Patrick McAvoy. "The way we do that is by staying together. We have to address some things and fix some things, obviously, out there. On the field we're not playing up to our standards, especially on the offensive side of the ball. But the way we fix that is by coming together, blocking out the noise, and try to go out there and get a win."

Barkley also went on to state that the game was weird, which is probably something that nobody ever wants to hear. It’s Week 13, and for a guy who has been in the league for as long as Barkley has, no game should feel that weird.

"This game was weird," Barkley said. "It was different. Felt weird out there. I think we've just got to do a better job of keeping drives going and that's kind of the biggest takeaway I took away from this game. That's something we have to address and get better at."

"I don't think something big needs to change," Barkley continued. "The sky is falling outside of the locker room. We understand that. But I have nothing but utmost confidence in the men in this locker room, players and coaches included. It's going to take all of us. It's going to take all of us to come together, block out the noise, can't be pointing fingers. All look internally because everybody is contributing to how we're playing right now."
