In a nutshell, Seattle Seahawks right guard Anthony Bradford exacerbated an elbow injury, leaves the game, and the O-line continued to stink up the joint, although they ran a bit better. CB Josh Jobe is taken out of the game as a precaution for a possible concussion, Riq Woolen takes his place; Riq ends up with two tackles, a PD, and a pick. So goes the story of Sunday’s 26-0 home victory against the Minnesota Vikings.

Both Bradford and Jobe were held out after being injured in the 2nd half of a game seemingly out of reach for Seattle’s opponent. Christian Haynes popped into the line-up and contributed to a poor o-line performance, doing a bit of work in the run game to set himself apart from the nearly two seasons-long narrative that he is not a good player.

The concern though remains with the offense and their inability to handle a somewhat complex scheme from the Vikings and accomplished DC Brian Flores. Even when he was in the game, Anthony Bradford did not make a tremendous amount of difference. To his defense, the Seahawks’ O-line played pretty bad as a unit throughout. So, at least this time, maybe we can quell SOME of the reflexive criticism of Bradford’s play.

According to Coach Mike Macdonald, Bradford could have returned, but the ’Hawks kept him out as a precaution, similar to Josh Jobe. Both players of course will be evaluated this week. All signs, so far, point to both players being available for the Atlanta Falcons game in Georgia next Sunday afternoon.

Here’s hoping that Josh Jobe’s brain is okay, and that the Seattle Seahawks can maybe find a a solution for the turnstile that is RG for a promising team with Super Bowl potential. Not sure that is gonna happen anytime soon. Oh well. A boy can dream.

But hey, at least we’ve got A.J. Barner.

Go, ‘Hawks!
