Aussie appliance maker Breville is undeniably a world leader when it comes to building manual espresso machines for the home, but that quality does mean they're not always the cheapest, with prices for its java-making devices reaching as high as AU$4,499.

Thankfully, Breville is also a regular when it comes to discounts during big annual sales events such as Boxing Day, EOFY in June and Black Friday/Cyber Monday in November/December – and we're officially in the home stretch of the latter, with many stores wrapping up their sales today (December 1).

Thankfully, there's still plenty of compelling coffee machine deals on offer for Cyber Monday, including particularly great prices on some of our favourite Breville models. I've put together a quick list of what I think are the four overall best on offer, three of which are even under the AU$1,000 mark. Breville's Barista Express coffee machine makes for a great all-in-one espresso machine, and doesn’t need you to spend a fortune. It's rare to see this model going below about AU$560, and this is undeniably the best Black Friday deal on it of 2025. The Barista Express’s beautiful design and powerful integrated burr grinder (with 35 grind settings), helped it earn top marks from our reviewer. As the name implies, the Barista Express Impress is a slightly upgraded version of the base model above which adds one specific feature to make it more user friendly: assisted dosing and tamping of ground coffee. The redesigned grind chute and lever on the left side of the machine ensure you never apply either too little or too much pressure when tamping down, which should mean you get very consistent results in terms of flavour and strength. A big part of that is thanks to the automatic steam wand, which can both warm milk to a specific temperature and volumise a specific amount of foam. One of Breville's two current flagship espresso machine (the other being the Oracle Dual Boiler), the Oracle Jet is still technically a manual coffee machine, but it's one that automates almost every stage of the process, from recommending a grind setting, to automatic dosing and tamping, even an auto steam wand for creating the exact foam level and temperature you want from your milk. Its wide range of built-in presets makes brewing different styles simple, and you can create additional presets to save your own personal settings.
