UK hosts SoCon automatic qualifier Wofford at Historic Memorial Coliseum in Lexington.
Should the Wildcats win, they'd play the winner of Georgia Tech and eight-seed UCLA to advance to the regional round.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementKentucky takes an 18-match win streak with it into the NCAA Tournament after going undefeated in SEC play and winning the conference tournament on Nov. 25. UK has only lost two games this year: one to undefeated Nebraska (3-2) in August, and one to Pitt (3-0) in September.
The Wildcats have made every NCAA Tournament since 2005, when head coach Craig Skinner took over. They won their first national title in 2020 and haven't advanced past regionals round since. After one of the best regular season in program history, UK looks like one of the tournament's most formidable teams.
Another formidable squad is Kentucky's archrival Louisville, which received a two-seed in the Nebraska quadrant.
