Personally, I can’t wait for this year to be over, so I’m very much looking forward to the symbolic turning of the calendar page.
Meanwhile, the Orioles signed Ryan Helsley for $28 million and two years. He’s projected for somewhere in the 0.7-1.0 WAR range right now. Raisel Iglesias signed for $16 million for one year, and is projected for somewhere in the 0.5-0.8 WAR range right now.
I’m not sure I want either guy at the contract they got, and the Braves likely weren’t a destination for Helsley anyway. But yeah, reliever market is the reliever market, c’est la vie, so it goes.
