Waukee Northwest girls swimmer Hayden Bailey and Dowling Catholic football player Jeremiah Roberson have been voted the Des Moines Register's Athlete of the Week winners from the Des Moines metro area for the week of Nov. 9-15.

Bailey won the 100-yard butterfly in 54.80 seconds and took first in the 100 backstroke with a time of 55.64. She also swam the opening leg on the Wolves' winning 200 freestyle relay team that finished in 1:35.12.
Roberson earned male Athlete of the Week honors with 71% of the vote.
The cornerback played a key role in Dowling Catholic's dominant defensive effort during its 14-10 Class 5A state football semifinal win over West Des Moines Valley on Nov. 14 at the UNI-Dome.
Roberson came up with a timely interception, and he also had a pass breakup to help the Maroons limit Valley to one touchdown and 161 total yards.
