Bo Bichette of the Toronto Blue Jays has a case to be the second-best free agent on the board this winter, so it'll be interesting to see what his market looks like. Reports have indicated that Bichette might not get the money he's looking for due to problems defensively, but ultimately, he's one of the better hitters in baseball, so he should be just fine on that front.

Predicting where Bichette will end up, especially with the need for a right-handed-hitting bat in Detroit, Will Laws of Sports Illustrated recently predicted him to sign with the Detroit Tigers.

“Bichette re-established his value after a disastrous 2024 season in which injuries cost him 81 games and most of his productivity. Before this year’s playoffs, he had never played any position other than shortstop at the major league level, but perhaps it’s time for a permanent move to second base after years of ranking near the bottom in most defensive metrics at shortstop. Bichette’s contact-heavy approach should enable him to age gracefully, and the fact that he’s hitting the open market on the right side of 30 should ensure a big payday,” he wrote.

To see Bichette go from the Blue Jays to the Tigers would be a bit upsetting for Toronto due to the simple fact that he'd be going to a team in the American League that has one of the best chances to reach the playoffs, so he could have an impact on Toronto moving forward.
