The lawsuit alleges that Sanders, 25, did not pay for legal services in connection with a personal injury case in Dallas, as well as services rendered in connection with a bankruptcy filing.
According to the complaint, the firm “delivered the legal services and incurred the costs reflected in the Invoices between May 1, 2024 and August 26, 2024 based on the Agreement.”
Sanders, the son of Deion Sanders, was informed shortly afterwards that his attorney, Victor Vital, was moving to a new law firm but that he would be responsible for the outstanding balance to Barnes & Thornburg.

John Darjean alleged that Sanders assaulted him, causing permanent neurological issues and damage to his spine. In pre-trial proceedings, the football star claimed he was acting in self-defense.
