Falcons Wire staff picks and predictions for NFL Week 13 game vs. New York Jets

Falcons Wire staff predictions for Week 13 game vs. New York JetsStory byFalcons WireMatt Urben and Deen Worley, Falcons WireSun, November 30, 2025 at 3:45 PM UTC·2 min read

On Sunday, the Atlanta Falcons (4-7) will face off against the New York Jets (2-9) in a battle between two of the most mediocre teams in the NFL. The Falcons have been bad, but the Jets have been even worse. Somehow, Atlanta is still in the playoff hunt in a muddled NFC South.

Last week's win over the New Orleans Saints ended a five-game losing streak and gave the Falcons a minor chance to sneak into the postseason if they can somehow win their final six games. With Michael Penix Jr. out for the year, Kirk Cousins is back in for Atlanta at quarterback.

The Falcons will have to find a way to get the job done without No. 1 wide receiver Drake London, who's been ruled out due to a knee injury. Fortunately for Atlanta, Darnell Mooney finished with a season-high 74 receiving yards to help carry the load last weekend.

Mooney will have to step his game up once again in Week 13 if the Falcons are going to escape with a victory. Check out our staff picks for Sunday's game between the Falcons and Jets.

Deen Worley (5-6)

Last week's win shouldn’t have any bearing on the outcome of this matchup against New York. The Jets are a bad team, worse than Atlanta, and Sunday's game should be an early victory for the Falcons. Granted nothing comes easy for Atlanta, but still, I like the Falcons to win by at least two scores on the road in Week 13. | Falcons 24, Jets 6.

Matt Urben (5-6)

Neither team has set the world on fire this season, and I don't expect that to change on Sunday. The Falcons offense has been atrocious on third down. With Drake London ruled out, I expect this to be an ugly, low-scoring game. The Jets haven't been good at home, while Atlanta has been bad on the road. Something has got to give. I like the Falcons to win on a busy day for kicker Zane Gonzalez. | Falcons 16, Jets 10 .

Sunday's game kicks off at 1 p.m. ET at MetLife Stadium. Make sure to follow our Falcons Wire live blog for updates from Week 13.
