On a recent episode of the Managing Madrid Podcast, just after Real Madrid’s 3-4 win away to Olympiakos, Kiyan Sobhani broke down what all the good and bad from the win (bad: defense, good: Vinicius-Mbappe connection, etc). The full episode can be found here.
Defeinitely about the good: Trent Alexander-Arnold. In his second consecutive start at right-back since returning from injury, the Englishman is already showing some incredible ball progression, and is pinging passes like Toni Kroos. Once he gets going, he should be very important to Xabi Alonso’s system.
