After the genre's boom in the 2010s, it has only continued to grow and expand, with BTS staking their claim as arguably the biggest boy band around today, and K-Pop Demon Hunters overtaking Gen-Z in its entirety. The Netflix film's featured song "Golden" was nominated for three Grammys in 2026, further solidifying the undeniable global domination of K-Pop.
Fellow K-Pop sensation Stray Kids are also doing quite a bit of heavy lifting for the genre, particularly with their record-breaking 2025 album, KARMA. The album went triple-platinum in sales in its first week, and debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart, with the lead single, "CEREMONY" entering the Billboard Hot 100 at number 52, making it Stray Kids' fourth single to chart in the US.
Following the success of KARMA, the eight-piece boy band released the first EP installment in the SKZ IT TAPE series, DO IT. As 2025 has been the band's most successful year yet, there's no doubt that "DO IT" will only add onto that success.
DO IT Is A Five-Track K-Pop Goldmine
Released today, November 21st, DO IT features five tracks: "Do It,” “DIVINE,” “Holiday,” “Photobook,” and “Do It (Festival Version)." The EP draws inspiration from a number of different genres, from reggaeton to hip-hop, with the primary throughline being catchy, high-energy, K-Pop anthems.
At the end of their tour in October, a tour which amassed 56 shows across 30+ regions, Stray Kids surprised fans with the DO IT comeback trailer. The video trended in over 60 regions worldwide, including the US and Japan, and definitely succeeded in building even more excitement surrounding the DO IT EP.
With appearances at the American Music Awards, iHeartRadio Music Awards, Kids’ Choice Awards, and more in 2025 alone, the success of DO IT is essentially already guaranteed on day one of its release.
